Vauxhall reveals 2011 Corsa
Summary
Vauxhall has released information for its new-look Corsa, set to hit British roads in February 2011.
The Corsa is Vauxhall’s second best selling model and the third best selling model overall in the UK for 2010.
Vauxhall is looking to improve on that reputation by adding styling cues from the Insignia, Astra and Meriva.
To that end the 2011 Corsa has received a new front end with a restyled grille, logo-carrying chrome bar and a more prominent bumper.
In addition, new ‘Eagle-Eye’ headlights – as seen on the new Meriva - have been included with a chrome finish as well as a new range of bolder exterior colours including Lime Green pearlescent, Sunny Melon and Chilli Orange metallic.
These colours continue into the popular supermini’s interior with seat trims offered in Steel Blue and Tabasco Orange as well as newly finished door trims, air vent rings and door handles.
At the centre of the Corsa supermini’s cabin sits a new Touch and Connect multi-media system. The new interface features a five-inch touch screen display available with 2D or 3D maps.
The 2011 Vauxhall Corsa will retain the chassis and engine updates that are already present on the current generation of Corsas, including the efficient ecoFLEX powertrains-some of which feature Start/Stop technology.
Softer springs, an anti-roll bar and an increased diameter have also been retained on the new Corsa, improving ride and control. In addition a re-tuned ESP has been added to further enhance the Corsa’s drive.
Pricing for the new Corsa starts at £9,995 including the 2.5 per cent rise in VAT for 2011.
