The Acura NSX from 'The Avengers'
Those of you who have seen the latest Marvel extravaganza (and by looking at the opening figures, we'd say that's a lot) will have more than likely noticed the strange looking Acura NSX in the final scenes. Don't worry, we won't post any spoilers
No point debating if he's in character or not, it's impossible to tell.
The sleek, dark red, beauty is driven by the extremely wealthy philanthropist, playboy, and superhero; Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.), otherwise known as Iron Man. It seems he's added to his collection since his standalone movies, where he is seen driving Audi's R8 models.
Last time you saw the new Acura NSX may have been at the 2012 Detroit Auto Show, where it was revealed in concept. Slated for release in 2015 (coincidentally the same year as the instantly greenlit 'Avengers' sequel) the Acura NSX has been receiving a lot of attention lately.

Unfortunately, for those of us wanting to drive the car seen in the film, the model we glimpsed was more mock-up than motorsport-ready. Granted, it'll drive, but any faster than seen in the movie's closing scenes and the fibreglass (and epoxy resin) will come flying off.
That's right, the Acura NSX from 'The Avengers' is a fake. Much like its driver, Iron Man, the NSX is a little different looking underneath its outer shell. The insides are that of an original NSX (produced from 1990-2005), which has then been ripped apart and stitched back together; like some kind of "Frankenstein's Monst-car".
Slow down, we can see it ripping apart!
As long as it's driveable for the movie premieres and publicity events we guess that's okay though. Hopefully Tony Stark will have a completed model in time for the next movie. Failing that, we don't mind if he goes back to one of those eye-watering Audi R8 models!
Another 'Avengers' related car that has received a lot of love over the past few weeks is the Acura - S.H.I.E.L.D. edition - MDX SUV. Sporting a matte black paint job, stealthy design (for an SUV), an enormous front bull-bar, and much more, the MDX is really something else; a more than worthy counterpart to the Acura NSX.
We wouldn't say no to having this in the garage.
