Suzuki's new Kizashi Sport
Suzuki has announced it will be releasing a new Kizashi saloon in the UK with the first models arriving in January 2012.
This new Kizashi saloon is aimed at buyers looking for a more executive saloon and comes in a single trim level, all for a starting price of £21,995.
However, Suzuki has revealed it will continue to sell its UK offerings in limited numbers. This time only 500 Kizashi models will go on sale in the UK initially.
Looking at its exterior it isn't exactly stand out and sporty, though it isn't dull either. There is however a definite sense that attention has been paid to making the Kizashi look smart with things like a smooth aerodynamic body shell.
This new model has all wheel drive as well as a six speed manual gearbox. Drivers can operate these new functions through steering wheel switches or a gear stick lever.
In terms of power this new Suzuki offers a 2.4-litre four cylinder petrol engine with a power output of 176hp at 6,000rpm. This power gives the Kizashi a top speed of 127mph and a 0-62mph capability of 8.8 seconds. It also returns a combine fuel economy of 34mpg.
The new Kizashi definitely ticks boxes when it comes to a saloon with an executive feel, which is reflected in its high quality standard equipment. This includes leather upholstery, electric glass sunroof, cruise control and an eight speaker radio/CD system with Bluetooth and USB connectivity.
Standard safety features of the Kizashi include Electronic Stability Control (ESC), which is largely due to that fact that it is being released in 2012 and ESC is mandatory. It also includes plenty of air bag protection with a total of seven, including driver knee airbag and side and curtain air bags.
A three year/60,000 miles warranty is offered by Suzuki, along with a 12 year anti-perforation warranty.
