SEAT prepares for UK Ibiza ST launch
The new SEAT Ibiza ST will be available from summer 2010, it was announced today.
The five door Ibiza Sports Tourer joins the Ibiza SC and five door hatchback variations of the model.
Measuring 4.23 metres in length and with a luggage capacity of 430 litres, the Ibiza ST is aimed at motorists wanting a SEAT Ibiza with more storage space.
Designed by a team led by Luc Donckerwolke, the Ibiza ST boasts a remodelled rear with split light rear clusters.
Two new TDI engines are available with the Ibiza ST alongside three petrol units. Four of the five engines operate with direct injection and turbocharging.
Optional equipment such as a dual clutch DSG automatic/sequential manual gearbox is available on top of the standard specification.
SEAT promises more information, as well as pricing and specification, closer to the SEAT Ibiza ST release date in summer 2010.
