Honda has debuted its CR-Z coupe hybrid at Detroit, prior to new model going on sale in the UK in Summer 2010.
Honda has debuted its CR-Z coupe hybrid at Detroit, prior to new model going on sale in the UK in Summer 2010.
The coupe is powered by a new 123bhp 1.5-litre petrol that is boosted by a 14bhp electric motor. Power is transmitted through a six-speed manual gearbox.
CO2 emissions are just 117g/km - 35g/km less than the similar Civic hatch.
The platform shares some components with the Insight hybrid, but the suspension set-up is all-new, while a 3-Mode Drive System allows the driver to alter throttle, steering, idling, climate control and hybrid boost settings.
The UK-spec CR-Z features 2+2 layout, while rear seats fold flat. The interior features a two-level dashboard, with a dark upper portion appearing to float above a light grey lower dash section.
The Honda CR-Z goes on sale in the UK in summer 2010.
