New car prices set to drop for 12 plates

The new 12 plates are about to be released in the UK on every new car registered from 1 March 2012.

Car makers will typically use the interest generated by the new plates to offer a range of offers on their new cars for sale.

This year should be no different, although Citroen is the only car maker to confirm it will be introducing a new 12 plate offer with a reduction in Citroen C1 prices to just £7,000.

Other Citroen cars have also had their prices dropped and there are finance deals aplenty from the French manufacturer.

However, other new cars for sale are sure to benefit from offers in the coming weeks ranging from lower new car prices to increased warranties, finance offers or VAT-free cars.

This means it is more difficult to compare new car prices in February because they are liable to change. It may also mean it is sensible to hold off any new car purchase to see what offers will be offered for the new plates.

Of course, there are always some of the new cars on the market to get excited about with the likes of the Chevrolet Camaro and Toyota Aygo all available to order now with the new 12 plates.

New cars for sale will be increasingly in demand for the 12 plates - but it is always advisable to take a look around, compare new car prices and check out some of the new cars for sale under manufacturer offers for the new 12 plates.
