Mitsubishi awarded 'blue light' contract

Summary

Mitsubishi has been awarded with a preferred supplier status from the national policing agency.

This means that Mitsubishi’s 4x4 range, the Shogun, L200, Outlander and ASX crossover, will all be available on the ‘blue light market’.

The Shogun and L200 have previously been used on the ‘beat’ for a number of years and in a variety of different areas.

Their specialist conversions take place at the Mitsubishi Specialist Vehicle Operation Centre (MSVO) in the Cotswolds.

According to the Japanese manufacturer, the MSVO is ideally suited to equipping the police force with its bespoke vehicles:

“[MSVO] offers a ‘one-stop-shop’ and provides a unique and individual cradle-to-grave service equipping vehicles to a high standard."

The company also stressed the importance of its After Sales policy in the accreditation of the contract.

Mitsubishi is offering its three year/unlimited miles warranty and roadside assistance that also incorporates a three year warranty period over all conversion work performed on the Police vehicles.

The news follows Mitsubishis price and detail release for the new Outlander SUV, one of the models set to be used by the Police forces.
