Fiat models hit top five in reliability survey
Summary
Fiat has achieved its highest ever finish in the JD Power customer satisfaction survey after it finished in 22nd place overall; an improvement of four places from 12 months ago.
The survey asks car-owners to rate their motors on a number of different aspects including reliability, comfort and running costs, making it a well-regarded set of results.
Andrew Humberstone, managing director at Fiat Group Automobiles UK, said: “[The] positive results of the task we initiated three years ago to improve customer satisfaction in Fiat and its products are starting to show through.
“We know there is a long way to go. But I am sure that these last two years of steadily improving results will continue to be seen in future JD Power surveys."
The Italian manufacturer has pointed towards its city car models as a reason for its improvement with both the Fiat 500 and the Fiat Panda faring well in the category, finishing second and fourth respectively, with their mix of affordability and desirability helping their success.
JD Power commented on Fiat’s city cars, saying: “Owners rated the Fiat 500 as more appealing than any other city car available, especially because of its retro styling and impeccable driving manners.
“Down from second spot in last year’s survey, but the seven-year-old Panda is still showing well. Owners found it easy to get into and out of, and praised Fiat dealers for their servicing."
More poignant for Fiat and its owners however is the impressive range of fuel saving technology on its models courtesy of the award-winning MultiAir and TwinAir engines which have seen average CO2 and fuel consumption figures plummet.
Oneswoop.com allows visitors to the car-buying website to compare new car prices and source the best and most competitive deals from anywhere in the UK. That means users can compare Fiat prices and get the best Fiat 500 deals around.
