The new CX-7 will cost £25,785 equipped with a new 171bhp 2.2-litre diesel engine developing 295lb-ft of torque through a six-speed manual box. Combined fuel economy is 37.7mpg and CO2 at 199g/km for the diesel powertrain.

Inside, leather seats, climate control air-conditioning, cruise control, heated seats, BOSE surround sound audio system with 6-CD autochanger and nine speakers, plus integrated satellite navigation and Bluetooth technology.
Safety kit incorporates a new Emergency Stop Signalling (ESS) system that automatically activates the hazard warning lights whenever the driver brakes abruptly and heavily, while a new Rear Vehicle Monitoring system (RVM) uses radar to monitor traffic behind the CX-7 and warns the driver of an approaching vehicle before changing lanes.
Mazda says the Cx-7 is more orientated towards sport driving and styling than other small SUVs, with a stiffer bodyshell, re-tuned suspension, revised gear ratios and lower cabin noise.
The five-seat SUV will be available in a choice of five exterior colours, while the interior boasts 455 litres of boot space, or 774 litres with rear seats folded down.
