Who is Oneswoop? oneswoop.com is a web and telephone based car buying service and was one of the first online car-buying companies to launch in the UK.
Do the cars come with a warranty? All new cars come with a full manufacturer's warranty unless specifically stated. For all nearly new and used cars it will be clearly stated on your Purchase Order if your car will come with a warranty. It is always possible to add one onto your car or extend the current one if you would like some additional security. Your sales agent will be able to advise you of the costs associated with such an upgrade.
Is there a search fee? No, we do not charge a search fee for any of our services.
How often is the model range updated? We continue to source new cars in order to offer you as comprehensive a range as possible and our site is updated on an on-going basis as new models become available. If stock has been sold, we will remove these cars from our site as soon as we are informed by our suppliers.
Who is my contract to buy the car with? The Supplier. We act as your agent and will match your car requirements to a supplier in our network. The supplier will co-sign your Purchase Order to validate the order and the contract.
Can I pay the deposit by credit card or cheque? You can pay your deposit by any of the following methods: bank transfer, bankers draft, Visa, MasterCard or Switch whatever suits you. We normally ask for a 10% deposit. If you pay by credit card there is an additional charge of 1.35%
Will the car be registered in my name first? Yes, if you have bought a "new" car you will be the first registered owner of the car.
Do you offer the facility to test-drive the cars on offer? At present we are unable to offer this service. However, there is nothing to stop you from contacting a local supplier for the car you wish to test-drive - you can then come back to oneswoop.com and take advantage of the savings and the service we offer.
What happens if I would like to add/remove an option on my car? Where your car is in the production line and what your manufacturer allows will determine whether the supplier can alter your specifications and whether there will be an impact on the price. Your Agent will be able to advise you on this
How often will I get an update on the progress of my order? On average we will receive official updates every 2 weeks. Each manufacturer has a different way of communicating information to their suppliers, so some updates may differ, but as we are in constant contact with our suppliers we will always be in a position to let you know our most up to date information. You are able to see the updates to your lead-time at the same time as your agent via 'My Driveway'. We operate a very transparent system, so you can stay up to date very easily by checking in each week via our site.
How will you contact me? We can contact you via phone, e-mail or fax. You tell us your preferred mode of communication and frequency and we will do the rest.
Can you arrange finance? Yes, click here to find out more about our range of flexible finance options.
Will my price increase after I order the car? Our prices are fixed. However, the price may change if the manufacturer changes its prices to the supplier. These changes typically occur around model year change, and are usually only a small percentage increase. The price may also change if you request changes to your options after your order is accepted by the supplier.
Will my local supplier be able to service and maintain my car after delivery? The local dealership of the brand of car you purchased or a manufacturer approved service centre will be able to carry out all the servicing and maintenance your car may need.
Under what circumstances can I cancel the order? The terms governing cancellation are described in the Terms and Conditions covering the Services and Supplier Agreement provided with your Purchase Order. If you have any specific questions, please ask your agent to help you.
What is the best way to get in contact with my agent? You can call on 0800 279 3769 between 8:30am-5:30pm, or send an e-mail to customerservice@oneswoop.com
How long will it take for my car to be delivered once it is with the supplier? Once your car arrives at the supplier, we will contact you to arrange your insurance cover note and a suitable delivery date. Once the supplier has your cover note it will register your car. This process can take about 2 weeks , but we will keep you up to date with what the time frame will be in your particular circumstances.
How will my car be transported to me? You choose how you want the car delivered when confirming the order with one of our representatives. Most customers request that the supplier arranges the transportation. In some instances this may involve the supplier driving your car to you, or it being transported in an open lorry to your home or office. Check with your agent who will be able to confirm the delivery arrangements for your car.
If I don't want someone else driving my car can I collect it? Usually we can arrange for you to collect the car from the supplier or a suitable location, please speak to your dedicated agent regarding your particular circumstances.
How long will the delivery take? The driver will hand the car over to you, ensure you are familiar with the instrumentation and the car and then leave you to it. It can be as quick as you like, or long as you need.
What do I need to do during the delivery? It is very important that you record on the delivery note any remarks that you may want us to follow up for you later. If there is no record of any issues or comments that you have made on the delivery note, then it is more difficult for us to assist you with resolving any issues that arise after delivery. Make sure you take the time to go around your new car and ensure everything is perfect. The delivery driver will familiarise you with your new car and talk you through some of the commonly used features.
Do I need to do anything for the registration? All you need to do is ensure you send your cover note in promptly when it is requested. We will complete the registration for you on your behalf.
When do I arrange insurance for my new car? We will send you an e-mail with all your car details, and an explanation of what happens next, as soon as we know that your car has arrived at the supplier . This will give you ample time to arrange your insurance and send everything back ready for registration.
Can I pick my own number plates? The actual numbers on the plates are predetermined by DVLA, so you are not able to pick from a selection.
What do I do if I have a cherished plate? You will need to advise us of this requirement and send in your retention certificate to the supplier when you are arranging your insurance.
Can I have a local registration? As the registration will be done for you at the supplier where your car is being sourced, we are unable to offer local registrations for UK sourced cars.
What other charges will I incur? The price quoted includes the supplier car price, UK first registration fee, number plates, 12 months Road Fund Licence, a full manufacturers warranty (unless specified otherwise), VAT and our commission. The only thing left to decide is what type of delivery you require. Prices for each mode of transport are dependent on your postcode and will be discussed when confirming your order with one of our agents.
Is the picture shown the car that I will get? The car models pictured are indicative of the particular model generally, may include optional extras, and should not be taken as representing any car you may choose. We advise you to carefully check the specifications for your particular choice of car to ensure that it meets your particular needs.
When will I need to pay the balance of my car? Once your car arrives at the supplier, your dedicated Agent will contact you to arrange payment of the outstanding balance. Once funds have been received and cleared your car will be available for collection or delivery (which ever you have pre-selected).
